Looking for a toy hauler travel trailer for your RVing adventures around the country?
I’ve often thought that a toy hauler would be a great RV to get, allowing you to take all the fun toys, while still having enough room for the family, if you have one.
Because I’m so obsessed with RVs, I decided to hunt out all the new toy hauler travel trailers that are available on the market at the moment.
I know that there are heaps of fifth wheel toy hauler options, but I’m more interested in the travel trailer range of toy hauler campers. So no fifth wheelers or toy hauler motorhomes for this search. (I like to keep things as similar as possible, so we can compare apples with apples.)
I’m going to limit this particular search to only toy hauler manufacturers in North America, because you guys do it so well! (We do produce some great toy haulers here in Australia, but our market is just a fraction of the size, so the options are somewhat limited.)
And as with all my other RV searches, I’m going to look for small toy hauler campers and (hopefully) lightweight toy hauler travel trailers.

Side note: gosh I love the names of some of these rigs! Stryker, Outback & Octane are all so dramatic and make me feel like I’d be some tough, badass chick if I had an RV with any one of these names. Their marketing teams are doing a good job! (I promise I’m not usually a sucker for these name games. But I’ve fallen for these ones. Hahaha!)

I like these layouts that are nice and simple. Having the ‘garage’ portion of the toy hauler also be utilized as the ‘relaxing’ area of the trailer, is what manages to keep this travel trailer at a very reasonable 29’.
Of course, this does mean that if you want to relax in the evening and eat your dinner or watch TV inside… the toys are going to have to go outside for the night.
